Our Custom Design Process

Every custom project begins with a computer-aided design, which we use to create an accurate and detailed layout. From this, we produce a mock-up design, which is sent to you for approval before production begins. At this stage, changes can be made to ensure the design is exactly how you want it.

Once approved, your piece is produced using modern 3D printing techniques or polymer plaster casting, depending on the design and size of the piece. All items are then carefully hand-painted and hand-finished, before being assembled and prepared for shipment.

We place a strong emphasis on accuracy, colour matching, and finish, particularly for regimental and insignia pieces. Customers are kept updated throughout the process, and final photos are sent before dispatch for approval to ensure complete satisfaction with the finished piece.

Standard completion time for custom commissions is approximately 3–4 weeks from design approval, depending on the size and complexity of the piece.

Alternatively, customers may send us clear photographs of the medal along with the measurements, and we can produce the shield and threaded mount to fit the medal correctly.
